Hey Guy, Just last weds. nite we were honored to have Hank Linderman sit in with us again. This is the way things have been going for us for the last year or so. I don't think we've ever in our career had so much love and respect from other talented people come our way.  We.ve all looked up to Hank for a long time. Since he went to L.A. he's produced records by America, Timothy B. Schmitt, members of Chicago etc., and when he's in town he wants to play with us!!  My head swellith!  I'm the kind of guy that thinks if Dave hadn't ask me to play in the band, I NEVER would have made it to any stage.  Bob and Barry seem to really enjoy our band. Don Aters, who has heard every band imaginable over the last 42 years, and he LIKES us!(now I sound like Sally Fields) Just look at the "Jammin' with The Pranksters" images. Can you believe it? We even have a world class webmeister in France taking care of us. Some day I'll wake up and it'll all be over, but till then I'm one "merry" sombitch.

hey! I hve e-mail ...but i did not get any tunes....where are these tunes....I reallly want the whole show with no post-production gimmicks. I wanna hear da' band!!!!!!

 Anywhoo. I worked The Broadway traveling production of Billy Joel and Twyla Tharp's "Movin Out" at Duke Theatre at Duke University (a really beautiful and technically(sp) a very modern venue) 13 tractor trailers.......six ton austrian moving truss.......I worked props and then was switched at the last minute to Deck (monitor) audio.....2 shows......it was a 22 hour workday and I am really feeling it today.....I am chomping down advils and drinking barley pop just to get right....made a stack o' cash!

    I hope all is well with all.......and bring on the music!!!!!!!!!!

well...the premature ejaculations about my demise and eventual death that I cast into the cosmic mainstream have certainly proven to be a little less than factual of late. I have started putting together The Pride of Cucomonga, which is proving to be not as much a logistical as a clerical headache. Since y'all have pix, I know you remember 7th Heaven...well...this is a rebirth of that idea where you can do just about anything you want on stage and not only get away with it, but develop a rabid crowd who screams things like "Play Don Ho" at you from the peanut gallery. I am hoping that, if not for the next Toe Jam, then the one after, we will be able to hook up a live feed from here and conjoin benefits via big screen TVs...complete with conversations between the local musicians here and you all live on stage at the venue there. I know these are lofty hopes, but the actual probability factor keeps sinking as I speak to the locals here who are actually capable of perfoming the miracles involved. Keep your moose loose...ya never know what might be possible.

Well...this puts a whole new spin on the gig...see i thought you were playing in the center for the arts......where the Brown stage.....i guess now renamed...used to be..and the flagship Bomhard(sp) Tom....... I know Bomhard was one of your teachers and influences. But i have so many great memories of the Macauley (and yes that is what i am going to continue to call it....)This was a great vaudeville and big band stage in the day and had many national acts walk its deck. we found super old carbide style spotlights...also used as foot lights.....giving a greenish hue....where the term "Limelight" came from. we found movie hand bills from 1907+. I have been up in the grid for rigging and on the pin-line. I have done "The Human Sandbag" while changing rigging weights. Lets see just off the top of my head...acts i have worked there...Ladysmith Black Mambazo....Buddy Rich Orch........Max Roach and friends....John Prine and Nancy Griffith....Joe Walsh......Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays...The Violent Femmes....Steel Pulse (cama-ray-tie-blue-dance)

Joe Satrianai...... B.B. King and Bobby Blue Bland....just so many...I OWE my stagecraft to that theatre...it took me out of being just another bar band soundman to vocation with a rich history. I am very glad you were able to play there and I hope you can play there again(shit get some good groups on a bill and present to them and tell them you will help promote show....the hall wants shows and wants to make money too......you are never gonna fill Louisville Palace(at this moment)....The Macauly is the perfect size...and you can dance!

So...dave get better.... I want a full recording of the show.....moles, scars and all. Best of 2 all.    The Guymeister
