I was just wondering...

Is there some kind of trial period or something during which some of the "newer" members of the band have to prove their essential pranksterness or something?

Or do Rick, Bob, & Barry have something deeply disturbing in their pasts that is best kept buried?

Does anyone else find the total lack of biographical information on these 3 illustrious persons more than a little suspicious?

Just Curious ...

Worked Michael Buble' last night. 8 semi-trailers by SHOWCO. Cheeks, we'll need to track down some images of Mark Watson. Sadly, I got the news that he passed away of lung cancer. It's only grapevine info so far, but I fear it's true.

OK folks...stay with me on this one. Donna started to feel better once she had about six days behind her on her chemo.....but I digress. We got a call from Jimmy Hall  http://www.jimmyhall.com

To be invited to a LARGE private party in Rocky Mount NC. Large? This is the biggest private outdoor and indoor nightclub I have ever been to (and being from Da' Ville I have seen some HUGE throwdowns) But this was the max folks. More free BBQ and food and beer and mixed drinks and more food and smoke. I mean they had whole beer trucks there to supply the place.

  http://www.roadsideamerica.com/tip/818

So we show up, get a nice room and got to the gig...had stage passes....The opening act was THE Clarence Carter...he did all of his hits including a 10 min. version of "Strokin'". SO we are hanging out...Jimmy was driving up from Nashville with his band "The Prisoners of Love" So they make the gig...I am standing 'round drinking a cool Hineken(sp?) when the guitarist comes walking through...and you could have knocked me over with a feather...It was Louisville's own Tony Bowles....aka Hanks 'Bama Band and numerous bands out of Louisville (he used to record alot at Allen-Martin Studios...is that still around?) So of course it was old home week...Jimmy was great about the whole thing....Tee-Shirts and hats and the whole spread. Went to breakfast the next day with the band. I had brought my Ovation and we did some Motel-Notell jam.(Jimmy and I) So it just goes to show you. Louisvilles talent is everywhere. Still....hands down ......best music scene with the best music......Louisville,KY. I have been saying this for years......Chapel Hill, Durham and Raleighs Club music scene has nothing on Louisville.

All of my best regards to Steve Ferguson and his family...Some real river-rat rock.    More Later......The Guymeister
