How do we connect with Kevin to send a message of encouragement ?

Oh, and I knew Stevie Winwood wrote "Dr Mr Fantasy".  My favorite thought is "40,000 Headmen" !  Only Em / Am needed for entire song plus the lyrics which are pretty much senseless. . . . . .

We would like to thank the afficianados of GOOGLE, BING, and Wikipedia for the correction of the age of Legendary drummer Mike Shrieve. He was indeed 20 years old when he played with Santana at Woodstock. This was brought to light as well as the reason for the confusion to begin with.....his age releative to everyone else who performed there. While 40 years may cloud old hippie's memories of exact things like age, it has however NOT clouded the original contested statement................which we will state again for any right wing conservo-boob wackos who may be tuned in who of course couldnt see the truth if it were the floor and they fell on it........MIKE SHRIEVE WAS THE YOUNGEST PERFORMER AT WOODSTOCK.

Happy Equinox everybody!

We went to see Kevin J. in the hospital today. Right now he's  in a hell that I  don't  think anyone else I know would be

strong enough to deal with physically or mentally. But hear this; Kevin is a bear of a man who has overcome this type of situation before. I've been known to cry when I put my t-shirt on backwards and the tag chafed my neck. He's got an incredible wife , 2 beautiful kids and a large extended prankster family that cares about him more than he even knows. We'll all try to help out in any way we can. In any situation I would always want him on my side. No matter what happens with his mobility, he will build a way to lead a long pointless lie like the rest of us. Drop him a line, he never asks anything from us, but he could use us now to get him over the hump.                          RD and Janet

Sorry Tom and RD - hadn't read your earlier posts of concern about my well-being.

RD - that's cool you saw Ron, Mark, Tom & Freddie from class of '73.  Reminds me, Patty & I are going to a mini-reunion lunch deal next Saturday at Napa River Grill on Herr Lane, from noon to 4PM.  Looks like about 70 people signed up so far.  I know you're probably not interested, but I'd love to have my best Waggener HS buddy there :)

Freddie Graham has taken over reunion duties from Mark Joyce.  I got lost off the list after I moved to Lex and I haven't been since the 10-yr gig - remember, that's when our classmate Susan Campbell had just died when the Russians shot down the KAL 747 near Sahkalin Island, Russia.  The local newsfolks were there to interview people about Susan.  What a shame.  She was "most likely to succeed", and pretty too.  She was a vet working with animals in the far east where she was headed.

Sooooooo, Becky Tucker saw me at Biff's Dads visitation last summer.  Cindy Birminham called me and has been persistent about my attendance, so I'll go and hope it's fun.

Anyway, thanks to all of you out there for your help.  BTW, what's the "healing place" ?

Doin' much better now.  Good UL - UK game today.

Dave,

Thanks for the warning, I've been doing much better lately.  The sling is off the arm and I'm playing piano again ( I don't hear anybody cheering ;).  I've got new wheels but can't drive per agreement with Patty until we find out what happened last Sunday morning when I had a weird mini-stroke type thing 'til I got back in bed.  My neurologist and GP are working on it.  Then there was the dangerously low sodium level ( from drinking too much water, believe it or not - flushes the electrolytes right out of your system ) that led to an ER run and one-day stay in the Versailles Hospital to get it back. I thought I was a gonner.  Since I don't drink adult beverages anymore ( 'bout 4 yrs ago ), I had to drink something !!   I was told two liters is the norm fluid intake per day. I was drinking WAY more than that with water, diet 'dew and some GatorAde.  PowerAde is good because it helps with the critical electrolytes.

RD told me that big Kevin was back in the hospital.  My thoughts and prayers are with him.

We've got the meds way down too, only one or two lortabs a day - down from the six they give me.  Then I still take the neuropathy meds Neurontin and Cymbalta.  My feet still hurt like crazy though.  But I'm doing a lot better without all the narcotics, feel much better too.

Look forward to seeing you guys soon, keep the faith.  I love you all and even Chic ;)  Has anyone heard from him lately ?

Hey friends and furry freaks.....I bought my tickets for Sonny Rollins here at UNC for Sept 22. I love this dude and cant wait for the show. We were the only white faces in the place....think of Animal House when the crew goes to see Otis Day and the Knights at their home gig...."Can We danf' wif yo' dates? Haha! Also got a booking from my union rep to do Leo Kottke (opening) for Los Lobos at Duke......Mnnnnnnnn...thatsa one tasty combo. I hope all you cats are cool and I will write mo' Later.  GJL

I just changed computers too, so I know what you mean about type getting smaller, although in your case, I'm not sure it has anything to do with the computer - considering all that porn & what everybody knows about self abuse making you go blind...are you sure there's not some connection there?

Other than that, no major news from Frogland. Hope everyone over there is healthy & whole...
